2015, Toughest Year of my Life Part #2

Well Hell, Happy New Years to everyone!!! Dang, where did 2015 go? It's OK, it can go away and here's to looking forward to 2016! Cheers Everyone!
So back to April when Adam got put into a cast after his crash we found out that he broke his scaphoid, the doc was very skeptical about racing Pikes Peak but we made plans to do it. About a month before Pikes we were facing the fact that the bone wasn't healing as fast as we wanted it to, although the doc was saying it was healing really well... We started looking at options on the bike to keep Adam's left hand on the bar and see how well the clutch was going to be able to be used. We came up with borrowing an Ergon MTB grip off of his Moots MootoX YBB and had our buddy Fos test it on his supermoto to see if it would work!
Fos said it worked mint and he didn't even really notice it was there so we put it on and waited for the next doctor appointment! Had a little last minute scare with the fact we couldn't pass a physical and get signed off to race in a cast so we made a decision the week before to work around this...
A Dremel is a wonderful thing some days! So off to pass a physical and then into the docs office finally a week before we are supposed to be racing up a narrow two lane road up Pikes... Sounds like a Great idea eh? ;) Doc asked to see what kind of support the wrist would have so we brought the suit and glove with to the docs office to see what they would say about us running up Pikes.
So after some discussions the doc said she would clear us to race after we showed her the grip setup and how much support the suit and glove had when all strapped up. Woo-Hoo! Had a custom brace made and we were off for some physical therapy to get some better range of motion back in the wrist for the race.
So we are ready for Pikes Peak... Hopefully... We think...
Good Stuff!
