Vickery Motorsports Visit, a New Sponsor, and a week of Craziness before another week of Craziness!

Last Saturday (Yes I know I am a slacker, I have been really busy OK!) I made a visit to a bunch of shops getting things all dialed in and ready for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb on June 29th. Big stop of the day was to swing by Vickery Motorsports to pick up some parts from Doug and to show them the bike in person.
Vickery Motorsports is the place to go here in the Denver metro for anything related to motorsports! Great selection of parts, new, and used motorcycles, quads and UTV's! If your in the area definitely swing by and check them out!

Sunday I ran down to PPIR for an open track day to test the quickshifter and the slipper clutch that Alan @ Racing Unlimited set me up with. Everything went well and we had a good time turning laps down there on a tight course that has some turns that will be similar to what I will run into on the mountain! The slipper clutch took a little getting used to but once I figured out how it was working I really enjoyed it and braking became a lot easier! The quickshifter was also a blessing and is definitely worth the upgrade for sure!

So after a busy weekend I am left with going through the bike and doing all the final prep after work when I get home. Today was a Great day as we got some goodies in the post! First thing to arrive was a SWEET set of Chicken Hawk Racing Digital Pro-Line Tire Warmers, these things are the nicest set of tire warmers I have ever seen!

Next up is a big one for me, we have a new sponsor and it is a big one! I would like to welcome Bell Powersports to the family here at Just-Us Racing and Project Supertwin! I ditched my other helmet at work and rode home and around town in the new lid and I am impressed at how well it fits and I really do like the way the shield operates. Big thanks to Brett for setting this up, here is my new Star "Spirit Blue" lid for the upcoming hill climb:

I like it! SO back to work for me here, I have to cut down the chain and get a different rear sprocket on here along with some other little things. Will post up some more stuff as soon as I can!

Cheers!

Stopping by Sponsors with the bike!

We swung by Audi Denver with Project Supertwin yesterday and met up with Steve Powers the GM for a couple of photos and for everyone to see the bike!

If you are in the Denver area, swing by this place! It is pretty awesome to see this big of a dealership and they do have some really nice cars on display!

Here is one more to give you an idea of the showfloor size:
That is just the showfloor! 17 car showfloor but man it is HUGE!

Making a couple more stops today, stay tuned!

Graphics Graphics Graphics

Alright, so last weekend we got to do some designing and drinking of some adult beverages while creating a graphic scheme for Project Supertwin. The rules were easy, it had to be Blue & Orange themed to stick with the Just-Us Racing colors... This was the mock-up:
Once Hammer @ Syndicate Racing got rolling he came up with what you see above, over the weekend he made it come to life and we ended up with this:
I am truly amazed and stunned with how the bike turned out from what I started with last September, it has been one hell of a ride and I got so used to seeing the bike in white it was an absolute shock to see it in person wrapped for the first time!

If your wondering what the polka dots in the blue are, check this out:
Yes, that is the Isle of Man "Three Legs of Mann" and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb logos in there! Brilliant design with the race tracks too, I love it!

Huge THANKS goes out to Hammer for getting this done, if anyone wants to get a wrap done drop me a note and I will gladly get you in touch with Hammer, he is a good shit and does really good work as you can see above!

That is all for now, running a practice day down at PPIR this Sunday so stay tuned for one more update before we start up on the mountain in a couple of weeks!

Cheers!

Slipper What?

So they say I can put a new clutch in and make the bike feel more like my 2 strokes... I say YES PLEASE!!! Too much engine braking for my liking with the stock setup! Alan @ Racing Unlimited says he has just the item for me and it has arrived:

The next step is lets get her installed and see what she does:

So then we have to hide that beauty under the clutch cover unfortunately... I really do hate hiding bits like this! After putting it back together I did a little "neighborhood testing" and it feels a lot better already! Heading down to PPIR Sunday to give it a real go on track before heading up on Pikes Peak and to see if I need to make any more adjustments!

We also made some progress on the graphics here, stay tuned for the next addition to the blog!

Cheers!

Welcome to our newest sponsor Audi Denver!!!

With the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb approaching rapidly we ended up securing a deal with Adam's employer Audi Denver for some support for Just-Us Racing and Project Supertwin this year!

We at Just-Us Racing and Project Supertwin would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to the McDonald's and Mr. Powers for helping us out and we look forward to working with you in the future in our racing adventures wherever they may take us.

If you are in the Denver area Audi Denver is a must see facility, please look Adam up in the parts department to say hi and check out the 17 car showfloor and grab a fresh cup of coffee from the barista in the Quattro Cafe while your at it. This dealership is amazing!

Will have some pics of the bike wrapped here this weekend! Getting so stoked to give it a go up the mountain in a few weeks! Gonna be good!!!
